The Department of Physics Science, Benson Idahosa University, Benin City was established in 2002.
The Department aims at creating enabling environment for teaching and research through the use of appropriate technologies. The Department provides a broad based education in Mathematics and Computer Science with a view to producing manpower (graduate) equipped with theoretical and practical knowledge, which will make them relevant in nation building.
The objectives of the programme, therefore, is to produce confident, self-reliant and highly competitive graduates who can create employment opportunities and fill career opportunities in industries, private businesses, academia and research.
To achieve this, the courses for B. Sc. Honours Degree in Physics Science are designed to accommodate a mosaic of interests and occupational goals in the field of Computing, Mathematics, Industrial Research, Web Development, Server Administration and Networking.
