Admission Requirements
ECONOMICS
FOUR-YEAR B.SC. PROGRAMME
- S. C. E., G. C. E., N. E. C. O., or its equivalent, with credits passes in at least five subjects, which should include English Language, Mathematics and Economics (obtained in not more than two sittings) there are no waivers for credit passes in English language and Mathematics.
- The required joint matriculation Examination subjects are:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Economics, plus any other relevant subject. and
- Any other requirement the University may deem fit.
THREE-YEAR B.SC. PROGRAMME
Requirements are as in A(1) above, plus:
- Two or more subjects in the General Certificate of Education (GCE) at the Advanced level or Higher School Certificate (HSC), one of the subjects must be Economics.
- National Certificate of Education (NCE) with distinction credits/merits in relevant subjects.
- National Diploma (ND) from any recognized Polytechnic or Colleges of technology with a grade not lower than upper credits
BANKING AND FINANCE
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
FOUR-YEAR B.SC. PROGRAMME
- A Senior Secondary Certificate or General Certificate of Education of their equivalent with at least five credit-passes, which should include English Language, Economics, and mathematics; this must be obtained in not more than two sittings.
- Also Candidates must have acceptable passes in the University Matriculation examination (UME), in the following subject, Use of English, Mathematics, Economics, plus any other subject.
THREE-YEAR B.SC. PROGRAMME
- GCE A/L in Economics and any other subject in addition to the university Matriculation Examination (UME) requirement, or
- A Diploma Certificate in Banking And Finance at least a merit obtained from Benson Idahosa University or any other recognized Institute of Higher Learning acceptable to the Senate of Benson Idahosa University, in addition to the UME admission requirements:
