I am glad to welcome all students of the Department of Business Administration into a new Academic Session.
We are distinguished by high performance in interdisciplinary research, addressing national and international problems, by becoming a storehouse of knowledge for the benefit of mankind. Students in the Department are instructed in Christian ethical principles, designed to change the nation and the continent by changing the students to become world changers.
The Philosophy of the Department of Business Administration which is derived from the vision and mission of the University is to develop world-class professionals and entrepreneurs strongly rooted in Christ Jesus that would positively impact on national and global economies through the creation of employments, provision of high level leadership, and quality manpower by deploying modern information and communication technology (ICT) and massive investment in human capital.
We collaborate with captains of industries, research institutes and external academics to produce graduates with the knowledge and skills required to assume leadership positions, and succeed in the dynamic and global business environment.
Our services enable students acquire entrepreneurial skills needed for identifying and analysing business opportunities, and develop those critical abilities required to start and run their own enterprise. We produce graduates with adequate competencies and skills that would enable them take up academic responsibilities in the field of Business Administration and ethically sound managers that would work for the benefits of the society.
One thing that distinguishes the Department is ‘Espirit- de –Corps’ which enables us to create a harmonious learning environment. All lecturers are dedicated and poised to give you sound learning.
Students are therefore encouraged to take advantage of the opportunities that abound in the Department.
I wish you all happy and successful stay in the Benson Idahosa University.
